A Rich Woman Screamed at a Hungry Little Girl for Touching a Slice of Cake—But When a Young Billionaire Knelt Before Her, One Whisper Made the Woman Drop Her Champagne Glass. 😱💔
“GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF THAT CAKE!”
The little girl froze.
She was barely five years old, barefoot, wearing a faded yellow blouse, with tangled curls and frightened eyes.
Around her, 300 wealthy guests watched in silence.
Elisa Rochefort, dressed in expensive red satin and diamonds, pointed toward the exit.
“SECURITY! GET THIS CHILD OUT OF HERE!”
But before anyone could move, a powerful voice interrupted.
“Your party, Elisa?”
Billionaire Damon Cross stepped forward.
Elisa forced a smile.
“Damon, darling. I'm simply handling an unwanted guest.”
Damon looked at the trembling little girl.
Then he did something nobody expected.
He took a plate, cut a generous slice from the enormous five-tier cake, and knelt before her.
“What's your name, sweetheart?”
“Daisy,” she whispered.
“Would you like some cake?”
The little girl nodded.
But instead of eating, she carefully wrapped half the slice in a paper napkin.
Damon frowned gently.
“Saving some for later?”
Daisy looked down.
“For my mommy. She hasn't eaten today.”
The billionaire's expression changed.
The entire garden fell silent.
Then Elisa suddenly stepped closer.
“What did you say your last name was?”
“Reyes,” Daisy answered.
Elisa's face went pale.
She immediately signaled security.
But Daisy grabbed Damon's sleeve before anyone could approach.
Her tiny voice trembled.
“Mister... Mommy told me to find the man named Cross if the lady in the red dress ever came back.”
A champagne glass shattered behind him.
Damon slowly turned toward Elisa.
