FIVE RICH WOMEN COMPETED FOR THE MAFIA BOSS — THEN HE CHOSE THE WAITRESS SERVING THEIR CHAMPAGNE
Five powerful women came to the gala hoping to win Adrian Moretti.
But the mafia boss walked past every one of them…
for the waitress trying not to cry.
Liya Hart had been serving champagne for eleven hours when a message from her mother’s nurse appeared on her phone:
Your mother had a reaction. We stabilized her. Please call.
Her mother had cancer.
Liya wanted to run home.
But leaving early meant losing the money she desperately needed for treatment.
So she wiped her tears and went back to work.
That was when Adrian Moretti stopped her.
“You’ve been crying.”
“I’m fine.”
“No.”
One quiet word.
Then he asked for her mother’s address.
Within minutes, Adrian had an oncology doctor on the way, a private ambulance standing by, and someone covering the rest of Liya’s shift.
“I didn’t ask you to do this,” she whispered.
“You’re right.”
He looked straight at her.
“You don’t owe me anything. Go to your mother.”
That night, Adrian personally drove her home.
Liya thought he was simply a powerful man showing unexpected kindness.
She had no idea who he really was.
Until midnight.
Adrian’s phone rang.
He listened.
His expression changed completely.
“What happened?” Liya asked.
Adrian looked toward the dark street.
“The people at that gala watch everything I do.”
“So?”
“They saw me leave because of you.”
Liya’s stomach tightened.
Then Adrian said the words that changed everything:
“They know your name now.”
She stared at him.
“What does that mean?”
Adrian opened the car door.
“Tomorrow, I’ll tell you exactly who I am…”
He paused.
“…and why being seen beside me may have just made you a target.”
