Chapter 14 - BROTHERS

Emergency lights flickered red.
Hannah dropped behind a concrete bench as gunfire cracked through the terminal.
Vincent pulled her down.
“Stay low.”
“I need Lily.”
“I know.”
Across the terminal, Bradley shouted, “Victor! We had a deal!”
Victor laughed.
“You had a function.”
Another shot struck metal.
Then Dominic’s men entered from the side doors with police tactical officers behind them.
“Drop it!” someone yelled.
Bradley ran toward the dock.
Victor moved the opposite direction.
Dominic appeared through the smoke, weapon lowered but ready.
His eyes found Hannah first.
“Are you hit?”
“No. Lily isn’t here.”
“I know where she is.”
Hannah grabbed his coat. “Where?”
“Victor’s clinic in Providence. Tomas confirmed a neonatal supply delivery twenty minutes ago.”
“Then why are we here?”
“To get your father out and arrest Bradley.”
Hannah turned.
Bradley had reached the dock door.
Detective Chen tackled him before he made the ramp.
He hit the ground screaming.
“I can tell you where the baby is!”
Hannah walked toward him.
Chen cuffed his wrists.
Bradley looked up at Hannah, desperate now.
“Get me immunity.”
Hannah stared at the man who had watched her bleed and planned around her death.
“No.”
“Hannah, Victor will kill me.”
“You should tell the police everything, then.”
She walked away.
Behind her, Bradley shouted, “Britney has the baby!”
Hannah stopped.
He laughed breathlessly.
“You think Britney loves me? She works for Victor. She took Lily herself.”
Dominic turned toward Tomas.
“Move.”
They were almost outside when a police radio cracked.
“Possible fire at Russo Medical Holdings, Providence. Multiple alarms.”

Hannah’s blood turned cold.
Her daughter was inside.
