Monica looked Sophia up and down—damp cardigan, jeans, sneakers—then poured an entire glass of water down her chest.
“This isn’t a place for window shoppers.”
Sophia didn’t scream.
She didn’t argue.
She simply reached for her bag.
Then the gold curtains opened.
Mr. Cole walked into the salon, saw the soaked woman standing on the marble floor… and immediately pulled her into a hug.
Monica tried to explain.
