Richard wrapped Noah in his overcoat and carried his grandson inside.
“Grandpa…” Noah sobbed. “I made it for your birthday.”
Mark stepped forward, not to comfort his son, but to take the wooden airplane.
“Dad, it’s just a small punishment.”
When Mark tried to grab Noah, Richard knocked him away and sent him crashing through the lodge decorations.
Claudia lunged for the airplane next.
Richard stopped her too.
Then he slowly turned toward his son and daughter-in-law.
“A small punishment?”
His voice dropped.
“I’ve got a small punishment for you too!”
Mark and Claudia exchanged a terrified glance.
